How it works
Emergent investigations, intentional teaching
Teachers document children's questions each week, then design provocations, small-group lessons, and materials that push the thinking further. Progress is measured three times a year against Oregon Early Learning Standards.
Assessment
How we know it's working
Three developmental checkpoints a year, portfolios that follow your child from room to room, and conferences where you see the actual evidence.
Fall baseline
Observation-based assessment in the first six weeks, shared at your October conference.
Winter check
A mid-year progress snapshot with specific goals for the spring, plus any referrals.
Spring portfolio
Work samples, photos, and a written narrative you keep — and a kindergarten readiness summary in Pre-K.
